Nasheed also criticized recent attempts in places like Arkansas and Missouri to establish “whites-only” towns, warning of the dangerous legal precedents these enclaves could set. These private communities aim to bypass anti-discrimination laws under the guise of exclusivity but threaten to revive segregationist practices reminiscent of sundown towns. Both Nasheed and Vlad dismiss these enclaves, emphasizing the necessity of inclusivity for a thriving society and equitable use of public funds.
