Clarence Robertson’s journey into becoming a kingpin is marked by a mix of hardship, street smarts, and contradictions. After serving time in Angola prison during the crack epidemic's rise in Baton Rouge, Clarence returned to find his friends flush with money, but advised to avoid risky corner dealings. Instead, he started selling large quantities discreetly, earning his name for selling bricks. Clarence eventually secured a direct supply connection with Mexican traffickers. This partnership expanded his operation beyond Louisiana into Mississippi, allowing him to run a multi-state operation. Despite having a steady supply chain, Clarence also admitted to robbing customers of product he sold to them.
