Police executed a search warrant and uncovered surveillance footage showing Rod Wave firing 14 shots from a Glock 20 into a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon during a heated argument with his girlfriend, known as Mini Barbie. The incident escalated after a prior burglary at the property, with Rod and associates attempting to cover up evidence, including collecting shell casings and closing garages. When police arrived, Rod allegedly tried to flee on foot, breaking through a fence in the process—captured on video and cited as a dramatic escape attempt. Charged with 13 offenses, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony, and tampering with evidence, Rod Wave’s lawyer, Drew Findling, claims his client was a victim of burglary and denies all charges.
