Gloria Velez shared the challenging experience of having a child with former NFL player David Bowens. The relationship began with promise—Bowens was loving and a positive role model, especially with Gloria’s eldest son. However, after Bowens’ football career declined, he fell into deep depression. Struggling financially and emotionally, he hid his troubles and accrued debt, while Gloria worked hard to support the family. Despite efforts to help him restart as a coach, Bowens ultimately withdrew, failing to contribute financially or emotionally. When their son was just five months old, Gloria told Bowens to leave, and he vanished from their lives entirely.
