In a recent VladTV interview, Maino opened up about the ongoing feud between Young Thug and YFN Lucci, sparked by alleged shootings near their families. The conflict escalated when Lucci’s mother’s house was reportedly targeted, and a close associate, Nut, was tragically killed. While there has been footage showing the two rappers appearing civil at a club after the trial, Maino expressed mixed feelings. He acknowledged the importance of peace but made it clear he personally couldn’t “be cool” with someone who shot at his mom.
Maino explained that while some can move past violence if no one was physically harmed, for him and others with loved ones directly affected, reconciliation is much harder. He recognized the business and maturity reasons behind ending the beef but emphasized that those on the front lines or families of victims might never agree. Ultimately, Maino sees the truce as a necessary step toward stopping the cycle of violence and incarceration in Atlanta’s rap scene.
