The discussion also touched on Trump’s uncanny ability to rally a dedicated base despite controversies and contradictions, with Irving conceding Trump “might have him beat” in influence. Overall, Irving painted Rubio as a joke and warned against underestimating the divisive state of American politics going into the next election cycle.
