In a recent candid interview, former Army Ranger Nicholas Irving dismissed Marco Rubio’s chances of becoming president, bluntly describing Rubio’s appearance as “too punchable” for anyone to seriously support him. Irving criticized Rubio as a “warmonger” and compared his look to a “ventriloquist dummy,” saying he lacks the “aura” and gravitas needed to lead. While acknowledging some loyal Trump followers might back Rubio, Irving insisted the GOP is too fractured for Rubio to gain traction. He even confidently claimed he could outperform Rubio on foreign policy. The discussion also touched on Trump’s uncanny ability to rally a dedicated base despite controversies and contradictions, with Irving conceding Trump “might have him beat” in influence. Overall, Irving painted Rubio as a joke and warned against underestimating the divisive state of American politics going into the next election cycle.
