As a family medicine doctor, I am regularly confronted by patients exhibiting symptoms of common ailments. Sore throats, acne, hair loss… all often explainable by a common condition. Sometimes though, I come across a series of common symptoms that when presenting at once can actually be diagnosed as a rare and incurable disease.
