as posted by the channel

Indigenous peoples have long been stewards of the Earth, protecting forests and sustainably managing land. As leaders at #COP26 commit to implementing Indigenous-led solutions to the climate crisis, activist Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim reminds them that Indigenous peoples must be equal partners in the fight, not just beneficiaries. COP26 is the United Nation's annual climate change conference.

Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is an environmental activist and a member of a Mbororo pastoralist community in Chad. She founded the Peul Indigenous Women and Peoples Association of Chad (AFPAT).
