YouTube Description
as posted by the channelGraham Platner, the democrat from Maine running for U.S. Senate, has suspended his campaign after credible sexual assault accusations from a former woman with whom he had a relationship. Platner's campaign suspension seemed inevitable, with the most recent allegation being only one of the many character issues that has plagued his run since it's inception. What makes Platner stand out is not just these issues, but his populist-driven campaign with huge support from the working class people of Maine. He represents an outsider mindset that is opposed to the conventional thinking of establishment democrats.
Did the establishment want him out of the race? Maybe. Are his accusations credible? They likely are. But in a political landscape where low moral standards do not stop republicans from winning races, it opens up a discussion on exactly what democrats should do, or not do, to win.
