Mermaids & Atlantis: What the Bible says

Doreen Virtue’s search for hidden secret wisdom led her to travel to Athens, Santorini Island, the hidden city of Akratori, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Sedona, Lourdes and Chichen Itza and resulted in her obsession with mermaids and Atlantis. She also became obsessed with fairies and other elementals, which were actually demons.

The desire for hidden knowledge is recorded in Genesis 3 and is part of our fallen sinful nature. Yet there are no answers or salvation in Atlantis or “power places.” The answers and truth are found in the Person and works of Jesus Christ who died for our sins. Truth is found in the Bible. Jesus and the Bible are sufficient and we don’t need to go outside of them seeking hidden secrets. We need to stay focused upon Jesus, share the Gospel and make disciples.
