1. Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone): This principle asserts that the Bible is the sole authoritative source for Christian faith and practice. By prioritizing Scripture, believers can measure teachings against biblical texts, ensuring that any doctrine aligns with God’s Word.

2. Sola Fide (Faith Alone): This emphasizes that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works. Discernment is fostered by evaluating whether teachings promote reliance on Christ’s work rather than human effort, helping to identify legalism or works-based salvation.
