as posted by the channelThe image of the woman dressed as a witch in this video’s thumbnail is an actual photo of a Steiner Waldorf teacher in her classroom.
In this interview, I speak with Carol a Christian woman who’s a former Steiner Waldorf kindergarten teacher and Steiner parent.
She was initially told that Steiner education was Christian or Christian compatible. Yet through her training and classroom experience, she began to see that pagan and occult beliefs were woven into the curriculum, festivals, and teaching philosophy.
In this conversation, she explains who Rudolf Steiner was, what he actually believed, and how his spiritual worldview shaped Steiner Waldorf education.
We discuss anthroposophy, theosophy, reincarnation, karma, esoteric spirituality, and why these ideas conflict with the Gospel, even when they’re presented gently through art, imagination, and seasonal celebrations.
This interview isn’t about attacking individual teachers or children; it’s about helping Christian parents understand the roots and worldview behind Steiner Waldorf schools so they can make informed, discerning decisions. It’s an examination of the spiritual worldview behind Steiner Waldorf education, since God’s Word calls us to be discerning and not be taken captive by philosophies that aren’t rooted in Christ (Colossians 2:8).
Many parents are drawn to these schools because they value creativity, nature, and childhood innocence. They’re reassured that it’s a Christian school with a liturgical calendar. Yet they may not be aware of the unbiblical, ecumenism, and syncretism spiritual framework that undergirds the pedagogy.
Scripture warns us to be discerning and to guard against philosophies that lead us away from Christ and the Gospel (Colossians 2:8). My prayer is that this conversation glorifies God and helps parents ask the right questions, seek truth, and place their trust in God’s Word above any educational system.
