With millions of new posts every day, the platform has struggled to find a balance between free speech and the regulation of misinformation and violence -- claiming that it moderates content with fair and reasonable rules. But after getting an insider's view of the platform's enforcement practices, Ryan became alarmed by what he claims is a pattern of censorship: with rules being applied inconsistently to favor one end of the political spectrum over the other, and vast powers wielded by biased moderators who control what users are allowed to say. In 2020, Ryan secretly documented his findings for a Project Veritas exposé and his new book "Behind The Mask Of Facebook."
