There are three common medical pains you will come across. These are all agonising pains and mean we have to treat these patients as a medical emergency in order to relieve their pain. The pain should be rapidly assessed so best treatment can be started as soon as possible. You might also like to learn the best way to give intravenous morphine. Andy suffered from renal or ureteric colic, what do you think the other two common extreme medical pains are?
