Several very large studies have found an association between regular use of Ambien (zolpidem) and increased rates of dementia. A recent study found a possible mode of mechanism- Ambien interferes with the dishwasher of the brain - the glymphatic system - that flushes chemical toxins from the brain during the deep stages of nonREM sleep.
- Are Rates of ADHD Really Rising?
Rates of ADHD diagnosis are unquestionably increasing, particularly among adults, women, and minoritized individuals. Increasing evidence suggests that at least some of this reflects more actual cases, and not just greater awareness or changes in diagnostic definitions.
