Videos released this week:

- Methylene Blue and ADHD

- Left Brain / Right Brain - What's the Difference?

After a 1 minute recap of each video, I’ll be available for questions on these topics or any other related to Mental Health.

- Methylene Blue and ADHD:

Methylene blue is a textile and paper dye that's been around for 150 years. It also has antibiotic activity, is effective in shuttling electrons to hemoglobin (and other molecules) to rescue people from methemoglobinemia and cyanide poisoning, and also has MAOI, anti-inflammatory and mitochondrial boosting properties. But so far there is no research on its use in ADHD, and only a handful of (encouraging) studies on using methylene blue for bipolar depression and dementia.

- Left Brain / Right Brain - What’s the Difference?:

Neuroscientist and psychiatrist Ian McGilchrist has written extensively about a more nuanced view of what the left and right hemispheres do, with an emphasis more on how they work than on whether they handle separate tasks. The verbal left brain is good at analyzing individual pieces of data, whereas it is the right hemisphere that seems most adept at developing a comprehensive, holistic picture of the world.
