YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

Akathisia is a severe side effect caused by medications like antipsychotics or antidepressants. It creates an unbearable sense of restlessness—like you physically cannot sit still. Imagine pacing non-stop, or constantly fidgeting, even though your body and mind are exhausted.

It doesn’t stop there—akathisia can cause an almost acid trip state of mind where you are tormented by obsessive thoughts, severe anxiety and sometimes paranoia.

This side effect has been associated with people becoming suicidal or in some cases even homicidal.

And the worst part is many people have no idea its being caused by their medications.

If you’re experiencing this after starting a new medication, don’t ignore it. Talk to your doctor ASAP—akathisia is serious, and can often be managed by reducing or stopping your medication
