You'll never believe dessert can be this good for you! This raw chocolate mousse recipe can be eaten alone, with fruits & nuts, or frozen to make fudgesicles!
Ingredients:
1/2 -1 c. medjool dates, soaked
2-3 avocados, mashed
1/2 c. maple syrup (100% grade B)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. cacao powder
1/2 c. water
Directions:
1. Soak dates in water for 1-2 hours. Mash avocados.
2. Blend all ingredients in high-powered blender until smooth.
3. Scoop mousse into bowl, using a spatula.
4. Serve at room temperature or chilled. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator up to 3 days or in the freezer up to 2 weeks.
5. Fudgesicles: Freeze the Chocolate Mousse in ice cube trays. Thaw for 5 min. before serving.
6. Chocolate Sauce or Fondue: Increase water to 1 c.
7. This chocolate avocado mousse is rich and smooth. It is delicious alone or served as fondue with fresh strawberries, bananas or tangerines.
