Today I’m going to share the many benefits and uses of pau d’arco and pau d’arco tea.

Pau d’Arco is an herb used in many different native regions around the world and is considered the #1 herb for killing candida today.

The cause of candida is when your immune system is weakened and you get “dampness in your body.” This is known in Chinese Medicine as a spleen deficiency or excess dampness.

Weak immune systems can be caused by emotional stress, taking antibiotic drugs or poor diet. Other causes of candida or “dampness in the body” can be consuming too much dairy, wheat or just a poor diet. If you have a white coating on your tongue, loose stools, cravings for grains and sweets regularly or regular infections such as a UTI, these are signs that you have candida and chronic infections in your body. If you know you’ve had a parasite, impetigo or ringworm, these are also signs of dampness, candida or fungal infections.

The #1 treatment is to drink pau d’arco tea or consume pau d’arco as a supplement. Pau d’Arco contains a compound that has anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and antiviral benefits.

For any patient struggling with candida, I would put them on the following diet:

No sugar

No grains

Fermented vegetables or bitter foods

Bone broth soup (nourishing to spleen)

Drink 2-3 glasses of pau d’arco tea or 2 doses in supplement form
