0:43Now PlayingEnsuring high-quality sleep is crucial for your overall well-being.
Research has shown a strong correlation between sleep quality and mental health. Individuals who rate their mental health as excellent or very good are 6 times more likely to experience high-quality sleep when compared to those with fair or poor sleep.
To enhance sleep quality, it's important to address the following problems:
👉 Medical conditions such as thyroid disorders, acid reflux, sleep apnea, insomnia, and snoring.
👉 Demanding and busy schedules that contribute to high-stress levels.
👉 Certain medications and alcohol consumption.
👉 Overconsumption of caffeine, especially after 2 p.m.
👉 Eating a poor diet that causes blood sugar fluctuations.
👉 Consuming heavy meals or snacks close to bedtime.
👉 Lack of exposure to morning sunlight and excessive blue light exposure in the evening.
👉 Sleeping in a room that is not conducive to rest, such as a room that is too warm or too bright.
By addressing these issues and incorporating positive sleep habits and lifestyle changes, you can greatly improve your sleep quality.
Here’s my deep sleep protocol to help you get started:
☀️ Morning sunshine with a walk
📲🕶️ No blue light after 7 PM
📝🛁 Establish a calming nightly routine
🧊 Keep your room cool, between 62-67 degrees
🌚 Ensure your room is dark
🛏️ Use a weighted blanket
💊 Take Magnesium and Theanine
