“It’s a little harder to see when someone is withdrawn because you don’t have the normal face-to-face,” says Nikki in the video above.

Noting that online meetings, video conferencing, and group texts are working, for now, Nikki says these high-tech alternatives just don’t offer the same sense of community and support that people struggling with addiction – especially those who are new to sobriety - need.
