Footage verified by the outlet shows Israeli trucks crossing the border at Kissufim, unloading waste along Gaza roads some 200–300 meters inside the Strip, then returning empty.
The waste comes from IDF bases, staging areas, and construction work along the border — where Israel built fences, roads, and barriers during the invasion. Officers told Haaretz that field commanders let private Israeli private contractors “dump wherever they saw fit.”
One soldier said, “We’ll have mountains of garbage… right in front of our homes for the rest of our lives, inside Gaza.” Another officer said it “disgraceful,” but only because Hamas could reuse the materials. The Israeli army claims it’s unaware.
