Israeli forces entered the campus shortly before the scheduled screening of “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” a film which documents Israel’s murder of the five-year-old child during its genocide in Gaza.
At least 11 Palestinian students were injured, some by live fire and others by tear gas inhalation and shrapnel, as Israeli troops smashed the main gate and entered multiple university buildings.
Several students, journalists, and the university’s vice president for academic affairs were detained during the operation. Israeli forces also seized equipment and property belonging to student groups.
The raid followed a student event held in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and coincided with preparations to screen the film “The Voice of Hind Rajab.”
