Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Esmail Baghaei rejected President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran posed any imminent threat and that the U.S. went to war because Tehran was “going to attack first,” calling the justification a “big lie.”
“There was no intention on the part of Iran to attack the United States,” Baghaei told Drop Site.
Responding to multiple reports suggesting the Trump administration has been speaking with Kurdish leaders and that the CIA has been working to arm Kurdish forces for possible ground operations, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Esmail Baghaei said:
“If you look at the pattern of their behavior over the past three or four decades, the United States and Israel love to create failed states. They love to create bloodshed. They have so much appetite for turning the states into chaos, and that’s what they are trying to do in Iran. Abusing ethnic cities, abusing other countries’ ethnic minorities. That’s what they are trying to do,” Baghaei told Drop Site.
