as posted by the channel

"We are bearing witness to a concentration camp in our own state."

For more than a week, detainees inside Delaney Hall, a privately-run ICE detention facility in Newark operated by the GEO Group, have been on hunger and labor strike, alleging inhumane conditions including worms in their food.

Each night, protesters gathered outside have faced escalating force from federal agents: pepper spray, rubber bullets, and batons.

On Thursday, NJ state troopers joined ICE in dispersing a crowd that had remained peaceful throughout the day, deploying riot shields, horses, flash bangs, and mace at point blank range against demonstrators.

On Friday, Gov. Mikie Sherrill directed state police to assume security operations outside the facility and ordered ICE to pull back from the perimeter in what she described as an effort to de-escalate, though the standoff continues as the hunger strike inside enters its second week.

Congressional candidate Mussab Ali told Drop Site contributor Jude Finkelberg that the country and its politicians must turn its attention towards Delaney Hall to ensure the detainees are safe.
