as posted by the channelDrop Site's Julian Andreone asked lawmakers on Capitol Hill to respond to the latest wave of U.S. and Israeli war crimes across Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.
A recent New York Times investigation found Israel has been using white phosphorus in Lebanon in its latest assault, an incendiary weapon banned for use in civilian areas. Previous investigations found Israel had also used the chemical in Gaza.
Last weekend, U.S. forces attacked water reservoirs in Iran. Under international humanitarian law, the deliberate destruction of civilian infrastructure is a war crime.
Responses were divided. Rep. Ilhan Omar said U.S. involvement in war crimes is nothing new, pointing to American conduct across every war it has fought. Rep. Burchett argued the actions are justified if they further the mission of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities.
