• God takes marriage seriously / We should do no less
• Marriage is near and dear to the heart of God
What is marriage all about?
• Who’s idea was this?
• Who created marriage?
• What is the purpose?
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJ)
• Everything has a purpose
• Marriage was created by God with a purpose
• The purpose of a thing is known by its Creator
Example: Car ( Ford / Toyota )
Example: A Guitar ( use as a hammer? )
• If the purpose is unknown, then abuse and misuse occur
• Leads to the frustration of the original purpose
Marriage is a construct of Creator God!
• It came before you / Israel / The Church
• It came before sin entered the world!!!

• Adam and Eve are the pattern
• Male and Female are God’s gender assignment

• We have authority over creation but NOT marriage

marriage
• They were as one in marriage as in creation!
