Everyone meditates on something all the time - the key is choosing to meditate on God's truth rather than worries or lies.
Psalm 1:1-3 describes those who meditate on God's Word day and night are like trees planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in season and prospering in all they do. Christian meditation is not about emptying one's mind but filling it with God's truth.
