Are you in the "Addams Family?" In the third episode of "God Killed My Old Man," Duane Sheriff teaches how to understand the Christian faith and live victorious in Christ.
Many believers struggle to walk in the newness of life because they don't fully grasp this essential truth. When we accept Christ, our old sinful nature (the "old man") is crucified with Him. Galatians 2:20 states, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." This death of our old self is the key to experiencing freedom from sin and living in the power of Christ.
Romans 5 contrasts our former state in Adam with our new identity in Christ. Verse 19 says, "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Just as we inherited sin from Adam, we now inherit righteousness from Christ through faith. #god #identityinchrist #addamsfamily
