In the fifteenth and final episode of "The Cross," Duane Sheriff explores the depth of God's forgiveness and mercy under the New Covenant. He explains that God's attitude is mercy, not wrath or punishment. Hebrews 8 reveals God's covenant promise: "I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." By understanding our complete forgiveness in Christ, we can fully appreciate God's love and a life of holiness motivated by love rather than fear. This crucial truth prompts us to reconsider our view of God's attitude towards us when we fail. Instead of wrath or punishment, we find mercy.
