"We've all said, 'That's not fair.' But what if what we call unfair… is actually God's equity?" The problem is, our culture has redefined fairness—and it's led to confusion, comparison, and even injustice. In Episode 17 of Wisdom, Duane Sheriff teaches on the fifth pillar found in Proverbs - equity. While culture promotes "fairness" as equal outcomes, Scripture reveals a different standard. True equity is not sameness, but impartiality—rightly applying judgment and justice without favoritism, according to God's wisdom.
God's equity is different from the world's perverted understanding. While all believers are equal in salvation, inheritance, and access to God, they are not created the same; each person has unique talents, abilities, and callings. Our divine design matches our God-given purpose, and we will be held accountable as stewards of the specific gifts and grace God has given us. True equity recognizes these differences and judges righteously based on what each person has been given, rather than demanding the same outcomes for everyone.
