On June 12, 2024, a jury convicted Wade Wilson for the 2019 murders of 35-year-old Kristine Melton and 43-year-old Diane Ruiz. The jury recommended the death penalty for each murder. Melton was discovered dead in her Cape Coral home on October 7, and that same day, Ruiz disappeared while walking to work. Wade's sentencing is scheduled for August 27th, 2024.
