In open court, she blamed “distorted” memories and media influence, but admitted Commissioner Michael Cox told her to “do the right thing” before she testified.
Commissioner Michael Cox—confronted by reporters this afternoon—flatly denied pressuring Dever or having any link to the case: “I didn’t even know she was associated with Karen Read… I have nothing to do with it.”
