Watch Heroic Bystanders Save Wounded Kentucky State Police Trooper. Routine traffic stop turns deadly | In July 2025, a routine traffic stop near Kentucky’s Blue Grass Airport turned into a fight for survival.
Body-cam and dash-cam footage released by the Kentucky State Police show Trooper Jude Remilien being shot by 47-year-old Guy House during a stop on Terminal Drive in Lexington. Wounded and alone, Remilien was rescued by four civilians — Jimmy and Jessica Alexander, their daughter Taylor Hall, and airport officer Adam Arnold — who applied a tourniquet and rendered lifesaving aid before EMS arrived.
Minutes later, the suspect killed two victims at Richmond Road Baptist Church before being shot and killed by police.
On October 23, 2025, Kentucky State Police released the footage and honored the four bystanders with the Citation for Meritorious Achievement.
This video is presented for educational and documentary purposes, illustrating both the dangers of routine traffic stops and the impact of immediate first-aid response.
