as posted by the channel

Kyrgyzstan's breathtaking mountains are often blanketed with heavy snowfields and massive glaciers. But those massive blocks of ice are slowly starting to melt, threatening drinking water supplies and raising the risk of deadly mudslides or floods. The country has begun a new information campaign to warn of the dangers. At the same time, it's investing in solar power as a clean and reliable source of energy -- especially because Kyrgyzstan receives more than 300 days of sun a year.
