Today, propane fridges are widely common. In India, an air conditioner producer is trying to tap into the CFC- and FC- free technology, with some help from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GiZ). But propane is flammable, and critics and skeptics are firing back against those plans. Global Ideas reporter Wolf Gebhardt shows us how the Indian company is trying to push ahead with its concept and convince customers that cooling systems can be energy-efficient, too.
