Julia Probst was born deaf and grew up speaking in sign language. She uses her blog and her Twitter account to speak out light-heartedly for the rights of people with disabilities. Her commitment has won her a nomination for "The BOBs", the competition for online activism. Since 2004 Deutsche Welle has been honoring international bloggers with the award.
