He was released from prison after serving a reduced sentence for his role in the Umbrella Movement of 2014. DW Correspondent Phoebe Kong caught up with Wong for his take on what could be the largest ever anti-government protests in the history of Hong Kong. Organizers claim nearly two million people were on the streets of the autonomous Chinese city on Sunday. Their aim is withdrawal of a controversial legislation that could see Hong Kong residents extradited to China. But there was a very vocal addition to their demands on Sunday. Protesters demanded Lam's resignation. She represents Beijing and in effect Chinese President Xi Jinping. Now protesters want her to go. But they aren't alone.
