The Mercator Institute for China Studies, or Merics, has looked at Beijing's "Made in China 25," or MIC25, strategy and says many countries and companies are all too willing partners in helping Beijing become a world leader in the tech industry. Europe especially fails to protect its core interests in smart technologies against companies like Huawei.
