as posted by the channel

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is calling for an end to divisions in the UK, after his conservatives won a sweeping victory in Thursday's election.

Johnson's conservatives now hold an absolute majority, for the first time in over three decades. Johnson says Brexit will be settled quickly, and the UK must begin healing after years of bitter division. Johnson has his work cut out for him after Nicola Sturgeon's SNP won a commanding majority in Scotland. Some say stronger opposition to the conservative government is exactly what the United Kingdom needs most. The Tory victory will be Pyrrhic if it leads to the breakup of the United Kingdom.
