Earlier today US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo rejected claims that his country is backing away from its role as a global leader. Previously German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier claimed that the US rejects the International community. French President Emmanuel Macron said Europe must become more independent of the US. Macron and Pompeo also disagreed over one of the main themes of this year's conference, that the West is losing global influence.
