The flooding has forced tens of thousands of people from their homes.
Rescue efforts are underway to assist those left behind.
Days of heavy rain have caused rivers to burst their banks and water levels to rise. And the debris is making recovery efforts all the more difficult.
Several areas have been declared disaster zones…with floods and severe weather warnings issued from South east Queensland to the border of Victoria.
