For people in many parts of Europe and North America, summer offered relief from the pandemic, the promise of normal life returning. That respite now appears to be ending.
Intensive care beds are filling up, the vast majority of them with patients who haven’t been vaccinated, underlining the fact that the jab will protect most who get it from getting anything more than a mild case of the disease.
Which is why Denmark, where more than 80 percent of those over 12 are fully vaccinated, has now lifted all COVID-19 restrictions.
So we’re asking: Corona and the fourth wave: A pandemic for the unvaccinated?
