11:53Now PlayingAmong the fighters defending Ukraine are a number of Russian dissidents who were forced to leave their country.
One of those dissidents is Ilya Ponomarev, he was a member of the Russian parliament and the only Russian lawmaker who voted against the annexation of Crimea in 2014. He was then forced out and now lives in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv where he has joined the territorial defense forces.
