Amongst the speakers are High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager, and European Commissioner for Internal Markets Thierry Breton.
The war in Ukraine has dominated security and defence concerns for the group. The Commission has proposed that the European Union support Ukraine in 2023 with up to 18 billion Euros in loans. The Commission has said that the money should be used to pay salaries, pensions and repair critical infrastructure including energy and health facilities.
