15:06Now PlayingUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told members of the US Congress that next year would be a "turning point" in the conflict, "when Ukrainian courage and American resolve must guarantee the future of our common freedom — the freedom of people who stand for their values."
Shortly before Zelenskyy's arrival in Washington, the United States announced its largest-ever arms delivery to Ukraine. The United States will provide an $1.85 billion (€1.75 billion) in additional military assistance for Ukraine, including a transfer of the Patriot Air Defense System.
Zelenskyy thanked US leaders and "ordinary Americans" for their support and pledged there would be "no compromises" in trying to bring an end to the war.
