Link also says Germany and Europe “cannot avoid an answer” to Washington on where they stand on China.
Michael Link is an MP for the pro-business Free Democrat Party (FDP) and current Transatlantic Relations Coordinator for the Government of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. In the past Link criticized Donald Trump for “refusing to commit to a peaceful transfer of power” in 2020, in a report by the OSCE/ODOHR international election observer group, which he headed at the time.
