Ruto calls on China to do more to end the war and condemns Russia's decision to move nuclear weapons to Belarus, saying it could put "the globe at risk of a full-blown war." He sets out why it is urgent to tackle the high prices unleashed by the war.
But Ruto equally condemns the West for neglecting conflicts in Africa, and demands serious action on climate change. "Stopping financing fossil fuel has to stop. Otherwise this globe is going to burn with all of us in there." He urges an overhaul of global finance that
Ruto says Africa holds the key to progress – with vast natural resources, huge potential to produce clean energy, and a young and energetic population. He explains what the world needs to do to tap these resources.
