Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the long-anticipated Ukrainian counter-offensive against Russian forces is underway. Kyiv has reported some initial success on the battlefield but given the build-up, what will Ukraine have to accomplish for this operation to be seen as a success — especially to its Western backers, first and foremost the United States? Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna tells DW’s Sarah Kelly that her country is firmly based in reality and that victory for Ukraine means the country’s sovereignty is restored as well as the international order — that Russia “de-occupies” all Ukrainian territory.
