Pakistani investigators are trying to confirm who was behind a suicide bombing at a political rally.

The blast killed more than 40 people and wounded 200 at an event in Khar, a town near the border with Afghanistan. Three suspects have been arrested. Funerals are being held for those who were killed at a gathering of the JUI-F, a leading Islamist conservative party and government coalition partner.
